Vice-Chancellor, Professor Steve Chapman CBE said he was delighted to announce that the release of the new Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023 has seen ECU jump to a new level in world rankings.

“For the first time we have been ranked in the top 400 universities in the world, marking a jump of two category levels up from top 600 in 2019,” said Professor Chapman.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings lists the top universities in the world based on their performance in teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. The 2023 Rankings include 1,799 universities across 104 countries.

“These rankings are a showcase of the quality of our University and add to our profile as a top 100 young university in the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings for the third year running.”

Professor Chapman said it was an opportunity to thank all staff for the hard work they put into the continuing success and growth of ECU.
