One in every two ECU students has been chosen for inclusion in the Student Experience Survey (SES) – running from 29 July. Check your email inbox to see if you are one of the lucky ones!
The Student Experience Survey (SES) provides current higher education students with the opportunity to provide feedback about their experience of the institution they are enrolled in.
The results of this research are used to help ECU and the government gain insight into students' experiences, and to monitor and improve teaching and learning in Australia.
The SES is an Australian Department of Education, Skills and Employment initiative which is carried out by The Social Research Centre, forming part of the suite of higher education surveys under Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT). The SES takes place in August of each year.
How is the survey accessed?
Each student will be emailed a unique survey link by the Social Research Centre. Reminders will be sent to those students who don’t get around to it first time.

Which students are in-scope for the SES?
The key student groups for this survey those who commenced studying early in 2018, and those who are roughly in the final third of their studies: i.e., most first and third-year undergraduates, and most postgraduate coursework students.
Higher Degree by Research students and those who have only just commenced studying mid-2018 are not part of the survey. Contact the Social Research Centre
