As part of a new WA Government initiative, free Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) will be available to staff and students on our campuses.

RATs are a quick and convenient way to detect COVID-19. As we know it is possible to be re-infected with COVID-19, keeping a supply of RATs at home is recommended in case you start to feel unwell and need to get tested.

Students and staff are encouraged to collect up to 20 free RATs from various locations across Joondalup, Mount Lawley, and Bunbury campuses, as listed below:

  • Joondalup:
    • Student Hub
    • Library
    • Campus Support Office (Building 1)
    • e-Lab
    • Student Health Services
    • Student Guild
  • Mount Lawley:
    • Student Hub
    • Library
    • Campus Support Office (Building 3)
    • e-Lab
    • Student Health Services
  • Bunbury:
    • Library

The RATs provided under this program are packed individually, so it is a good idea to bring a bag to collect your allocation.

Please remember that close contacts with no symptoms can leave isolation if they complete a daily RAT (and receive a negative result), wear a mask when outside the home, and avoid high-risk settings.

People who return a positive RAT result must register their result online with the Department of Health or contact 13 COVID (13 26843).

If you’re studying at one of our three campuses and you receive a positive test result, or you are a close contact who needs to isolate, please let us know by filling out the notification form on the ECU website.

ECU will continue to manage and implement appropriate measures, for the safety and wellbeing of our community, and to monitor evolving risks and the effectiveness of the ECU COVID-19 safety and health measures.

If you have questions about the above, or any of the COVID related information please contact: covid19enquiries@ecu.edu.au
