Graduate Outcomes Survey 2022 results are in

The latest GOS results measures the short-term employment outcomes of graduates who completed their courses in 2021.

ECU had some pleasing results with ECU’s full-time employment rate (domestic undergraduate) sitting at 75.7% (compared to 79.1% nationally) and our overall employment rate has significantly increased by 13.1 percentage points compared to the 2021 GOS and is among the six largest increases in the university sector for the second year running.

ECU’s overall employment rate, which looks at both full-time and part-time work (domestic undergraduate) is 88.0%, (national average of 88.6%) following a 5.2 percentage points increase compared to the 2021 GOS.

ECU’s median full-time salary (domestic undergraduate) is $70,000 (compared to $68,000 nationally) and the highest fulltime salaries include Law and Paralegal ($85,800), Social Work ($74,000), Teaching ($72,000), Health Services (70,700) and Engineering, Computing and Information Systems and Psychology ($70,000).

ECU’s Business and Management undergraduates have the highest full-time employment rate out of all WA public universities.

Additionally, the results revealed ECU’s Business and Management undergraduates were the best paid out of WA’s universities in this discipline, with a median graduate salary of $62,800 – up from $60,000 the previous year.

ECU’s full-time employment rate for postgraduate coursework (88.5%) is significantly higher than for bachelor-level graduates and improved by 6.6 percentage points since the 2021 GOS, and a total of 11 percentage points since the 2020 GOS. This sees ECU on a par with the national average.

ECU’s overall employment rate (which includes full-time and part-time) among postgraduate coursework graduates has increased by 3.1 percentage points to 93.7%, which is above national average.
