Role Based Development Framework

The Role Based Development Framework (RBDF) is a professional development initiative providing all ECU staff with learning modules - targeted to their roles. The RBDF outlines ECU's six strategic key capabilities and six main roles types at ECU. Mapped to these role types are both required and optional professional development modules that enable, enhance or improve individual performance. Download the ECU Course Matrix to see which development modules are mapped to your role type.

Planning Your Learning and Development

All academic and professional staff need to capture their learning and development activities planned as part of each management performance system (MPS) round. The Learning and Development tab within the online MPS in Staff Kiosk provides a list of required courses mapped to your role as well as indicating when refresher training is required. It also provides the ability to easily identify and book required and optional professional development training linked to the RBDF. Any training requiring manager approval will automatically send an email to your manager requesting approval when booked.

The data gathered from the internal training bookings made via the MPS Online tool will support the University to efficiently plan and organise professional development delivery for everyone, including identifying opportunities for new offerings.
