ECU gardeners have called on staff to take extra care when driving in campus car parks and on roads after several near misses with ducklings.
This time of year there are a lot of duck families wandering around and they do not usually possess much in the way of road sense.
Ducks are a valuable part of the local ecosystem as they eat weed seeds, snails and other pests, as well as being a positive addition to the general campus experience.
