STREAM (System for Tracking Research Ethics Applications and Monitoring) is the university’s online ethics system.
All ECU research projects need to meet research ethics requirements, and STREAM can be used to submit an ethics declaration, an animal ethics application or a human ethics application. It ‘shapes’ the application according to the data that is entered, ensuring that sections that do not apply are not displayed.
There are on screen ‘smart tips’ to explain the information required. The progress of each application can be tracked, and automatic reminders are issued when monitoring reports are due.
STREAM is accessible by both staff and students. STREAM can be accessed at the ECU Portal.
Log in to the ECU Portal, and then navigate to the ‘Other Logins’ menu of the left-hand side of the screen.
If STREAM does not display under ‘Other log ins’, select the ‘customise’ button (pencil icon) to add it to the menu.
Selecting ‘STREAM’ from the menu will take you to the STREAM homepage where an ECU login and password is required to access STREAM
For assistance with using STREAM, please contact the Research Ethics Team. Their details can be found on the support web page.
