Report an information security incident

Edith Cowan University takes the security of its information seriously.
It is important that we are able to detect and respond to threats as quickly as possible.
Some threats cannot be simply detected and we rely upon you and the general public to keep us informed.

Examples of threats and incidents are:

  • Abusive e-mails received either at your ECU account, or apparently coming from another ECU account;
  • Suspicious behaviour by individuals such as asking for your username and password;
  • Changes to your accounts or information that you did not authorise or were not aware of; and
  • Unusual behaviour of computer equipment.

The best way to report these incidents is via the IT Service Desk.

If you wish to remain anonymous the following form can be used. Reports via this form go directly to Information Security staff, not to the IT Service Desk.
