As part of the International Women’s Day celebrations, ECU’s Professor Cobie Rudd (Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Strategic Partnerships) was joined by Professor Braden Hill (Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Equity and Indigenous), Professor Moira Sim (Executive Dean, School of Medical and Health Sciences), Associate Professor Matt Byrne (Associate Dean, School of Education) and Associate Professor Sophia Nimphius (School of Medical and Health Sciences) at the Labor Business Roundtable International Women’s Day (IWD) Sundowner event hosted by the Premier Mark McGowan and Cabinet Ministers on Friday, 8 March 2019.
IWD is an opportunity to acknowledge the achievements of women and to highlight the work still to be done to ensure women experience full equality.
The 2019 global campaign theme for IWD is #BalanceForBetter and this event provided the opportunity for ECU to engage with the Premier and his Cabinet Ministers to maximise dialogue with the Western Australian Government and business community to take action to close the gender gap.
