Our Services

The UPMO provides a permanent portfolio, program and project management office to support the planning and delivery of the University’s key strategic, high value and/or complex project portfolio.  The services in scope of the UPMO have been designed to be appropriate for supporting resource allocation decisions and delivery of programs and projects managed by a range of delivery methodologies.

The scope of the UPMO activities includes:

Project Portfolio Management Services
  • Providing support to enable the prioritisation and planning of programs and projects
  • Coordination of stakeholder engagement and communication across the University’s project portfolio
  • Assisting in benefits identification and planning activities across programs and projects and collation of benefits data for reporting
  • Managing the University Project Portfolio Governance Framework

Delivery Support Functions
  • Supporting the delivery of key strategic high value and/or complex programs and projects
  • Providing cross-functional coordination management support on behalf of stakeholders
  • Providing senior stakeholders with visibility of the University’s overall project portfolio

Centre of Excellence Functions
  • Ensuring consistency of delivery across the project portfolio by building the University’s internal capability and capacity in project execution and implementation
  • Supporting stakeholders with project planning and initiation, stakeholder communications, business change management, benefits planning and delivery management
