Support and advice

If you wish to lodge a request or report an incident, why not use the IT Service Kiosk?
It is the shop front for all services provided by the IT Services Centre to ECU staff.
You can report IT related faults, ask IT questions, search a knowledge base of FAQs and user guides.
You can also order items and services.

You can contact the IT Service Desk in one of the following ways:

To assist you as quickly as possible, please have the following ready:

  • Your staff ID number;
  • the nature of your request;
  • your current location and phone number; and
  • the number of the computer and/or printer you are using
    (located beneath the barcode on the white IT Services sticker).

Semester support hours

During semester, IT support services are available at the following times. Please note that service hours may be subject to seasonal variation.

For telephone or email support, please contact the IT Service Desk.

Monday to Thursday 
Friday Saturday and Sunday 
7.00am – 10.00pm 7.00am – 7.00pm 
9.30am – 5.30pm

eLab counters

For over the counter support relating to computer facilities, visit us at one of the eLabs. Please note that the eLab is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week with an access card. The hours below relate to counter support times only.

Essential student services period

IT Services wishes to advise students and staff of the various IT Services service points operating during the Essential Student Services Period from Tuesday, 23 December 2014 through to Monday, 5 January 2015.

eLab counters

All eLabs (Joondalup, Mount Lawley and South West) will be:

- closed from 4:30pm, 22 December 2014

- reopen at 8.00am, 6 January 2015.


Due to reduced staffing over the ESSP, delays may be experienced on non-urgent requests.
Full services will resume on Tuesday, 6 January 2015.


Throughout the ESSP, the IT Services Centre will monitor and support core systems.


IT Services would like to remind students and staff to reset their password within their 90 day period to ensure they do not lose access to SIMO, email and University networks.
