Getting a staff ID card

All staff are required to have an ECU staff ID card, which is not only identifies you as a staff member but also gives you access to a number of services to support your work, including:

Where to get a staff card

You can get your staff ID card made at any of our eLab counters on campus. You will need to provide your staff number and have your photo taken.

What happens next?

The ID card is automatically activated for all internal ECU systems however it can take up to an hour for the access card function to work.

Your building and room access is granted based on your role however if you need access to areas you don't currently have access to you will need to request access through the IT Services Kiosk. Visit the Staff access cards page for more information.

The SmartRider card may take up to 48 hours to activate so please check at a SmartkRider kiosk or TransPerth help desk before using for the first time. If you already have a Transperth SmartRider card you transfer the remaining credit to your new Staff ID card by contacting TransPerth on 13 62 13.
