The IT Services Centre wishes to remind staff of current restrictions to email and OneDrive for ECU employees travelling to overseas locations. In January 2019, The Information Security Team were required to block access to these Office 365 services from locations other than Australia, in response to phishing activity which still continues to pose a threat to the online security of staff and the organisation.
These restrictions will remain in place until the current roll out of Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) and LastPass has been completed. The estimated completion date is May 2019.
If you have plans to travel overseas on university business in the next few months, please raise a service ticket through the IT Services Kiosk to ensure the Information Security Team activate MFA to enable access to email and OneDrive before you leave the country. If you have any issues, please contact the IT Service Desk directly.
