An ongoing employee is an employee other than a fixed-term or casual employee who may be employed on a full or part-time basis.

A staff member on a fixed-term contract is eligible to apply to convert his or her employment to continuing employment in circumstances where the University has determined that continuing work of the same or substantially similar duties and requisite funding are available.
A staff member who is appointed to a position that is contingent funded for a period of three (3) years or more, and who is to be appointed to at least their second consecutive contract, shall be eligible to be employed on a continuing contingent funded contract of employment, or CCFE.
If you would like to vary an existing employment contract on a temporary basis, please contact your relevant HR Adviser or HR Business Partner.
If you would like to vary an existing ongoing employment contract on a permanent basis, HR will issue a new written contract once receiving the approved request. To initiate this process please contact your relevant HR Adviser or HR Business Partner.
