Mail services are managed by Luminate PrintWorks, they are centrally located on each campus.
Campus mailrooms are designed to facilitate the efficient movement of University mail. To ensure the accurate and timely delivery of your mail, here are some things you can do to help:
- Complete an Office Allocator (Move Manager) if you are relocating;
- Update your staff profile on the intranet and include your room number and phone number; and
- Ensure mail is addressed correctly, i.e. full name, complete address and your details as the sender.
Australia Post collects outgoing mail from the mail rooms on each campus. Professional service centres and schools are issued with red/blue mail satchels that bear their cost codes. The location of these satchels is at the discretion of each work area.
Mail to the South West campus is sent via Australia Post.
Bulk mail, or items that are too large for the satchel, need to be placed in special mail bags that are available from each mail room. These bags are tagged so that the relevant cost centre details can be supplied.
Please Note: ECU ‘postage paid’ envelopes can only be processed through the ECU mail rooms and must not be posted at any local Australia Post box and personal mail can be added to the internal mail bags, but must have the appropriate stamp affixed.
Mail which is not for the attention of a particular person, or position, will be opened by mail room staff and the contents inspected to determine the correct recipient and then dispatched in accordance with normal mail procedures.
