Governance

Digital Campus Services is governed by the:

  • Technology Governance Framework which is facilitated and implemented through the Information Technology Governance Committee; and
  • Strategic Asset Management Framework which is the mechanism to deliver a structured and consistent approach to the management of high value assets with a clear focus on both the short and longer term use.

Governance, Risk and Compliance work together for the purpose of assuring that the University meets its strategic objectives and the centre achieves its operational requirements.

  • Governance: is the combination of processes established and executed by ECU's Council and University Executive that are reflected in the organisation's structure and how it is managed and led toward achieving goals.
  • Risk Management: is predicting and managing risks that could hinder the organisation to achieve its objectives.
  • Assurance: compliance with the university's policies and procedures.

As a service centre, this is achieved through management processes which identify the applicable requirements (defined in laws, regulations, contracts, strategies and policies), state of compliance, risks and potential costs of non-compliance against the projected expenses to achieve compliance, and highlighting corrective actions deemed necessary.
