The upcoming Easter long weekend provides an ideal opportunity for PhD Students (and their Supervisors) to take a break, recharge their batteries and create space to prioritise their health and well-being. Students are encouraged to speak with their Supervisors if they feel like they need an extended break beyond the long weekend.
The Graduate Research School will break for the long weekend, however we will be back in the office from Tuesday 14 April 2020. Students should continue to contact the Co-ordinators Research Student Support (Bev Lurie, Joseph Sim and Heather Williams) with any questions, queries or concerns via GRSstudentsupport@ecu.edu.au. Likewise, the Research Advisers and HDR Communication Advisers can be contacted for support and appointments.
GRS will continue to hold weekly informal QnA sessions via Microsoft TEAMS every Wednesday in April to ensure HDR Students and Supervisors have a forum to discuss concerns or issues that have come about as a result of the evolving COVID-19 situation. The Dean of the Graduate Research School, Prof Joe Luca, and other GRS staff members will be in attendance to answer questions. Students can email firstname.lastname@example.org to receive the TEAMS link, Supervisors will have the link sent to them via an Outlook invitation each week.
The COVID-19 Updates for HDR Students and Supervisors intranet page regular is a central place for updates, resources and the full range of GRS support services and programs available to HDR Students and Supervisors.
The Graduate Research School wishes everyone a happy and safe Easter long weekend!
