Employment opportunities for research students

The Graduate Research School manages an online page within CareerHub called ‘ResearchHub’ for research students seeking short-term or long-term employment as well as volunteering opportunities and for employers to advertise job vacancies.

ResearchHub also promotes any research-related events, opportunities and resources via our blog. Members can post comments on the blog, but to advertise an opportunity, please email: n.jones@ecu.edu.au

Information for Research students

An important component of your research journey is building your skills and experience to prepare you for fulfilling employment when you complete your research degree. Gaining relevant casual employment or voluntary work during your studies will provide you with recent work experience and valuable networks for future employment. ResearchHub will provide you with a comprehensive resource to access research-related jobs and opportunities during your candidature. Don’t miss out, register today!

Access ResearchHub

You will need to be a member of CareerHub to register for ResearchHub.

If you are not a member of CareerHub:

CareerHub members:

  • On the CareerHub home page, go to ‘Get Involved’ and click on ‘Join Research Hub – Expression of Interest form’
  • Login into ResearchHub directly next time via https://careerhub.ecu.edu.au/workgroups/researchhub or find ResearchHub under ‘My Groups’ on your CareerHub home page.

Information for Employers

If you have a short-term or long-term vacancy (paid or voluntary) you can target your advertising by posting the opportunity on ResearchHub. You can either register as an employer or email n.jones@ecu.edu.au with a request to advertise on ResearchHub.

Register as an Employer:

  • Visit - http://www.ecu.edu.au/careers-and-leadership-services/overview
  • Go to Login to CareerHub and click on ‘Employers’
  • Click on ‘Register on CareerHub’ or ‘Login to CareerHub’ if you are already registered as an Employer
  • Complete registration form
  • Note: once registered you can simply Login to CareerHub next time and post a new job
