There are so many social professional networks that will help build your online presence and network with colleagues and peers, consider: LinkedIn, GitHub, Xing, Viadeo, Academia.edu, ResearchGate and more. But which platform, why…and where do you start?
Do you know which social professional network(s) will be the right fit for you, your objectives and the industries you work within? Do you know which are most likely to include the peers and colleagues you want to connect with?
This presentation will give you an overview of the players and their populations and prime you to make informed decisions about picking platforms and building your profile on social professional and research networking sites.
