Student printing
To use the printing and photocopying facilities on-campus, you should use your Student ID card and load printing credit onto it.
Using your Student ID card for print and copy
Your Student ID card works like a bank account. The first time you use a new card the system asks you to enter a four digit PIN (follow the menu prompts to do this).
Each photocopier and printer has a Card Reader (VCC) with built in touch pad. Place your Student ID card on the right side of VCC where it is written "Present Card Here" and enter your PIN to continue. The VVC User Guide can be downloaded under "Downloads" section of this page.
When funds on your card run low, you can deposit more credit and use it again. If you lose your card, your student ID number or ADS login helps to identify your outstanding balance and get a new card.
Credit machines (Smart Loaders) are located in the printing areas of the campus libraries and eLabs. The Smart Loader User Guide can be downloaded under "Downloads" in this page.

The University provides a range of student printing, scanning and photocopying services on campus. Predominantly these facilities are located within the campus eLabs, libraries and school based computing facilities. For locations of our eLabs facilities and computer labs please use our Labinfo Online application.
Free print credits
As an enrolled student you are entitled to receive free print credits (to the value of 50 single sided, A4, black and white pages) each semester. This credit is applied to your Student ID card upon request.
To request your credit, you must complete the "Request print credit" online form. Credits are valid for use across all our printing facilities. Please be aware that some school-based printing facilities may have specific charges associated with them.
Web printing (Wireless Printing)
Web printing is available on eLab and Library printers across all three campuses. With the implementation of web printing, students can now upload Microsoft Word, Excel. Powerpoint and PDF documents directly from their personal laptops connecting via the ECU wireless network.
The Web printing (wireless Printing) is offered within the Student Printing System via the Student Portal and the Web Print Quick Guide for the system can be downloaded under the "Downloads" section of this page.
