ECU Careers in Sport Expo

Wednesday, 25 October 2017

Sport and recreation is part of the fabric of Australian life. Sport plays an important role in society and contributes to our lives in many ways – it helps improve our well-being, can increase productivity, it may prevent at-risk behaviour, provides entertainment and social benefits for our communities, and offers a variety of job opportunities in various sectors.

Sport and recreation industries generated $12.8 billion in income and employed around 134,000* Australians. ECU’s Careers in Sport Expo will highlight the diversity of jobs that are available in the industry and the opportunities to pursue these through the wide array and variety of courses on offer at ECU.

Please join us at this event to hear inspiring presentations from industry leaders, meet with prospective employers, talk to current students and take advantage of the opportunity to speak with specialist lecturers about your specific interests.

Here is just a taste of what to expect;

  • Presentations from industry leaders, sporting professionals and specialists in their field, including a Question and Answer session
  • Find out about a variety of sport-specific study areas including Broadcasting/Journalism, Sport Business/Sport, Recreation and Event Management, Health and Physical Education, Exercise and Sports Science and Motorsport Technology
