Staff across our Mount Lawley and Joondalup Campuses will wear special purple bras over their clothes on Friday 17 June to raise money for support for Western Australians affected by breast cancer.
The day will also launch the new 'Breast Cancer Click' website, a national online support network for people affected by breast cancer developed as part of a three year ECU / ARC PhD project in conjunction with industry partner Breast Cancer Care WA.
To celebrate both Purple Bra Day and the 'Click' project, Professor Clive Barstow (Head of School, Communications and Arts) invites all staff and students to attend a fundraising morning tea including a presentation by the Click's researcher, Cynthia Witney.
You are also invited to join the fundraising efforts by being sponsored to wear a purple bra on the day. A special branded purple bra is provided free of charge when you register for the event - so you don't need to own one already to join in. To join the team and register for a free bra and fundraising kit, or to support the team with a donation, visit the ECU Mount Lawley Campus team online. Simply select 'Join this team' or 'Sponsor this team' on the left of screen.
So come along and enjoy a great morning tea, find out more about the Click and join in the fun for a great cause!
