In celebration of National Career Development Week, the ECU Careers Services team, in collaboration with BHP Billiton, held an on-campus presentation led by HR Advisor for BHP Billiton and Marketing graduate, Erica Jarvis.

BHP Billiton is a global leader in the resources industry with operations in 25 countries around the world.

More than 100 enthusiastic and enterprising students across disciplines such as engineering, business, environmental, nursing and allied health attended the presentation at the ECU Joondalup campus last week.

Erica provided students with a valuable insight into exciting career opportunities within the resources industry, including their Vacation Program.

Careers Services was impressed by the professionalism, enthusiasm and quality of questions asked by all student participants.

"The event was well attended and I received excellent feedback from BHP and students" said Careers Advisor from the Career Services, Ms Sylvia Kelly.

Erica was also thoroughly impressed with all students who attended.

"I was overwhelmed by the turnout, they were a lovely bunch of students and very inquisitive."

"I am happy to come back anytime to ECU to present; many thanks, the organisation was superb," said Erica.
