New Live Life Longer calendar launched this week

Learn how to balance work and a healthy lifestyle with the new Live Life Longer calendar
The Health and Wellness Live Life Longer program has launched the new July to December calendar, with a wide range of exciting activities to help improve staff's general health and wellbeing.
Highlights include belly dancing classes, learning how to care for your roses with lunchtime gardening classes and weight watchers at work free information sessions.
Staff can also join the ECU Sports City to Surf team and take advantage of the free training sessions, as well as contribute to the national Keep Australia Beautiful initiative by joining the Faculties and Services Keep ECU Beautiful team.
For those looking to improve their health, there are free healthy heart checks throughout September, skin cancer information sessions in October and regular yoga and singing classes.
There is also the opportunity get behind great national initiatives such as The Relay for Life, Quitober, and Movember.
Health and Wellness Coordinator, Fiona Peters, encourages all staff to take part.
“The new Live Life Longer calendar has a wide range of activities for everyone.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to get involved, meet new people and take proactive steps to achieving a healthier lifestyle." said Ms Peters.
"It’s easy to say you are too busy for exercise or healthy eating, but if you do something now you could help prevent the onset of health issues later in life."
