The Planning, Quality and Equity Services Centre provides support for ECU’s: strategic planning and positioning; operational planning; performance reporting; survey and evaluation activities; quality improvement processes; academic governance; and engagement activities.
The Centre helps ECU achieve its Purpose by: undertaking institutional research and engaging with government and stakeholders to position and develop the University; maintaining ECU’s Planning, Performance Indicator and Excellence frameworks; providing strategic and operational support for the University’s engagement agenda; and overseeing the University’s academic governance processes.
The Planning and Equity Unit is responsible for advising on strategic positioning of the University and supporting ECU's Planning and Key Performance Indicator frameworks. The Unit provides well informed advice on the positioning and development of ECU for its future success and sustainability.
Quality and Academic Governance supports the Quality Framework, by co-ordinating quality improvement activities including school reviews and annual reviews.
Survey Services is responsible for conducting and overseeing survey and other data collection, and processing work that provides strategic and operational information supporting activities such as teaching and learning, service delivery, and staffing.
The Engagement Unit was created in April 2012 and is responsible for providing strategic and operational support for the achievement of the University's engagement priorities. The Unit also supports outreach activities and projects with community stakeholders and partners as well as coordinating and overseeing all of ECU's engagement activities.
The PQESC supports the University and its stakeholders by providing information on a range of services including:
