UTEI summary for 2012 units and teaching

Student Services and Facilities Evaluation – 2011

The Student Services and Facilities Evaluation (SSAFE) survey assesses students' satisfaction with their experience at ECU, with a particular focus on services, facilities and campus life.

Graduate Outcomes and Graduate Satisfaction 2012

The Graduate Outcomes and Graduate Satisfaction 2012 report is based on graduate outcomes data from the 2007 through 2012 Australian Graduate Surveys.

Mid-Course Experience Questionnaire 2012

The Mid-Course Experience Questionnaire (mid-CEQ) deals with students' perceptions of course experience mid-way through their courses. The mid-CEQ targets those students who have completed between 40% and 75% of the required points for their course. Detailed results are sent to each faculty. A summary report of the previous year's results is presented to Curriculum Teaching and Learning Committee and Academic Board early each year. Contact PQESC for further details.

University Experience Survey 2012

The University Experience Survey (UES) is a key initiative developed by the Australian Government designed "to ensure ongoing improvement in the quality of learning and teaching". The UES was administered in all Australian universities for the first time in the third quarter of 2012, under the management of a consortium lead by the Australian Council for Education Research (ACER).

In-progress Postgraduate Research Experience Questionnaire 2012

Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students are surveyed at the end of each year and asked to provide feedback on their experience with a range of issues such as supervision, infrastructure and intellectual climate. The iPREQ is based on the national graduate PREQ which means a level of benchmarking is available, albeit between current and completed students.

International Student Barometer 2012

The International Student Barometer (ISB) looks at the experience of onshore international students across a range of issues such as arrivals, learning support and living. The ISB provides national results that all for benchmarking.

Staff Survey

ECU’s staff are surveyed every two years. In 2012, the survey was conducted with Voice Project which allowed benchmarking within the sector.
