Our styles and templates
Our goal is to provide easy-to-understand and consistent experiences for visitors to our web pages. We ensure consistency is maintained by applying the Corporate Web Style and templates to all web content, in accordance with the ECU Web Content Management Policy.
Corporate web styles
The following corporate web styles ensure that visual style is consistently applied to the pages delivered through the ECU WebCMS:
- 2009 Corporate web style; and
- Generic site style.
Our page templates provide web authors with a uniform method for creating and managing web content. They introduce consistent formatting, layout and presentation. Visit our template pages for examples of:
- Standard page templates;
- Advanced templates; and
- Overview page templates.
Corporate application system styles
All web application systems are required to be graded for compliance with the ECU Corporate Web Style. Grading ranges from 'Maximum compliance' to 'No compliance'.
Web application systems that are capable of maximum compliance can have one of these two styles applied:
- 2010 Application system - Internet style
- 2010 Application system - Intranet style
For information regarding compliance grading and instructions on how to obtain an application system style, see our Production acceptance criteria web page.
Exemption from corporate web style
As stated in the ECU Web Content Management Policy, all websites must be maintained in the WebCMS and comply with the Corporate Web Style.
Business owners seeking exemptions to these requirements must have the exemption approved by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) prior to the website being created. Failure to do so may result in the website being removed from view.
Exemption requests should be submitted to the ECU Web Business Manager. Please see our Requesting support page for contact information.
