Our styles and templates

Our goal is to provide easy-to-understand and consistent experiences for visitors to our web pages. We ensure consistency is maintained by applying the Corporate Web Style, themes and templates to all web content, in accordance with the ECU Web Content Management Policy.

The following corporate web styles ensure that visual style is consistently applied to the pages delivered through the ECU WebCMS and Salesforce Experience Cloud platform:

  • 2014 Corporate web style (Simply Red) - ECU Internet webpages,
  • 2014 Corporate web style (Blue Steele) - ECU Intranet webpages,
  • 2018 Corporate web theme (World Class) - ECU World Class Research webpages,
  • 2019 Corporate experience theme (New Students) ECU My Uni Start webpages,
  • 2020 Corporate experience theme (Current Students) ECU Current Students Portal,
  • 2023 Corporate experience theme (Creative Thinkers Made Here) - ECU Future Students webpages.

Exemptions from Web Content Management Policy

The ECU Web Content Management Policy states that all websites must be maintained in the WebCMS and comply with the Corporate Web Styles.

Business owners seeking exemptions to these requirements must have the exemption approved by the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) prior to the website being created. Failure to do so may result in the website being removed from view. Exemptions can be sought for the following:

  • Website not to be maintained in the ECU WebCMS;
  • Website not to be maintained in the ECU Corporate Web Style; and
  • Requesting non standard domain (a domain not ending with .ecu.edu.au).

Exemption requests should be submitted to the Web Experience Manager at corporateweb@ecu.edu.au

Reminder: Websites granted exemption from the Corporate Web Style must have their final website design approved by the Director, Brand and Marketing, or nominated representative, prior to release.
