It’s called the Immersive Technology Interest Group.

This group has been set up for people to come together to network and encourage cross-disciplinary collaboration, sharing of knowledge around immersive technologies like Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, 360 video and all kinds of emerging immersive technologies, their applications for education purposes (higher educ plus in schools) and more broadly, research methodology issues, etc, etc.

We are keen to get researchers, academics, HDR students, teachers, industry partners together to talk about this and learn about what is happening in this area.

The meetings will be held at the Edith Cowan University campuses in Mount Lawley and Joondalup, alternating every month.

We hope you can come along to our meetings, share some cool things you've seen or heard about, have lots of curiosity about the subject and the potential it has for your area of interest.

We have also set up a FaceBook Group page and would like people to post things on the FB group to keep the discussion and discovery going online. All events and notifications will be posted there.
