Date: Friday 8 July 2016
Time: 9.30am-11.30am
Venue: ECL 2.031 Graduate Suite, Murdoch University

This dissemination event will present the findings and outcomes of an Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT) funded Extension Grant which builds on an earlier OLT project, Bringing the learning home (Gothard, Gray & Downey, 2012).

The current project developed an accessible online programme targeting career planning in the context of students’ outbound mobility experiences. This multi-media, evidence-based program supports students’ development of key employability skills at each phase of their international experience:

Preparing, Being there, and Coming back.

Participants in this workshop will hear about recent research about the professional benefits of outbound mobility experiences, learn about the new online resource, 'Putting your international experience to work’, and discuss ways to implement it in their different institutional contexts.
