Teaching at ECU: Sessional Teaching - PDC112

This course enables all new sessional teaching staff to gain a basic understanding of the relevant principles, techniques and skills necessary for effective teaching and learning. It has two elements; a three-hour workshop, followed by specific school-based development activities.

Who should participate in PDC112

All new sessional teaching staff are required to complete PDC112 within 6 months of commencing their teaching duties. Subsequent contracts for sessional teaching staff may be dependent on the successful completion of this professional development course.

Heads of Schools can recognise prior learning and waive or partially waive the requirements to participate in PDC112 where the new staff member can demonstrate appropriate teaching qualifications, skills and/or experience.

For more information on session dates and times see the staff development portal.
